thanks for stopping by, hope all is well with you!!
last week i worked on a new yellow bag, a summer bag.
for the bottom i started with the first two rows of the pattern for the rectangular squares i only made it a tiny longer. then it is all half double crochets with only a few double crochets.
the bag is far from finished, i’m now working on the details.
another squares
yesterday evening i crocheted a few rows to one side of the cushion cover, so that project i can finish soon.
last week i made this supermarket bag for my brother and the question was: would he mind using it? gladly he likes the bag and wouldn’t mind using it at all. the body of the bag is made with catania color number 242 (anthracite) and the top and handles with phil coton 3 color number 54 (canard)

lilac
for the lilac shawl in the works (below) i – again – work with katia peques acrylic yarn, this time with crochet hook size 4.00 mm. the hue is a slightly lighter than the lilac of this stole/scarf.
for my current wip i also use a stitch pattern of mypicot and the route to find the diagram is: mypicot.com – openwork & lace – pattern number 2037. you can find it here and this is the direct link to the pdf.

didn’t visit many blogs lately, sorry about that, i promise to do better 🙂
here are some pictures of two finished small crochet bags, one for my sister in law and one for me. they are made of look a like yarns, but it are different labels and the green is somewhat thicker than the teal colored one. the details are different too. the green is cotone of lana grossa and the teal is sunkissed of scheepjes.

there was no time this week to work on the orange blanket, but hopefully i will be able to pick up that project tonight.
last week i had no opportunity to write a blog post. we had a final farewell in the family and although not totally unexpected, for us it was too soon. i’m still a little confused, but fortunately for me there are yarn, hooks and crochet.
maybe you like to take a look at my wips?
in the house of my mother, i found this simple glass vase, with a minor damage at the top edge, it measures 21 cm high with a diameter of 18 cm. i have crochet a sleek cover of light green catania yarn and at the top a small teal and coral edge.

the spider stitch blanket has only become a little larger. the yarn is stylecraft special dk and the color’s name is saffron, which is a really fresh and happy shade of orange.
the slightly variegated green colored bag you see on the picture below is for my sister in law. the yarn is cotone of lana grossa and it feels quite firm which makes it suitable to use it for projects like this. the bag is almost ready, only the top i have to finish and i’m thinking to make a surprising color effect.
last but not least, a secret project and it has to remain secret for a while, but i will post more photos as soon as possible. it is pink and lilac and the lilac has a gray undertone. the yarn is the lovely acrylic peques of katia. it feels very soft!
last week i have not worked on my opaline blanket, but i have done a few other things.

it is made with three colors of scheepjes softfun. more info about the yarn you can find here and the pattern for the square here.
crochet bag
this bag is finished too, the crochet work i mean, it needs a lining but so far i didn’t find a fabric i like.

the bag is made with cotton 8 of the label scheepjes (info here), lovely yarn although it is a little thinner than the cotton 8 i’m used to of other labels and therefor it is not really suitable for making bags (i think). the result is a bit baggy hence lining is needed.
vintage square
last night i tried a vintage pattern, i’ve pulled out the last few rows because the square was getting wobbly and crocheted a modified fifth row and this is the result. i am not a great lover of bobbles (except for edges) but i love this square!

the pattern counts 7 rows, it is free available here (scroll down for the picture of the square) and it is an easy to follow description.
