thank you for all the nice comments! some of you have guessed that the small grannies project become something to wear. that is close, only it is not meant for a human being:) helena of queen and fox was the closest, she thought it was something for an armchair.

the small grannies have become an old dining chair cover, consisting of two parts.
on the picture below you see the old chair that (i – along with three others and a dining table – bought in 1981/1982) stands in my tiny hallway at the front door.
the seat has a sort of dent, it belongs that way, and therefore i first put a piece of an old duvet on it, as i did over the back of the chair.
and this is how the chair looks when it is ‘dressed’. it’s not haute couture, but i’m pretty happy with it.
the seat cover i tied with crocheted laces to the back of the chair legs, under the seat.
the cover over the back i tied at the sides and bottom.
what do you think of it?

Het ziet er geweldig uit! Vooraf had ik werkelijk geen idee wat het worden (behalve dat het eindresultaat prachtig zou zijn). Nou, dát is uitgekomen! De kleuren zijn – zoals altijd in jouw werk – super. Om vrolijk van te worden – of te blijven 😉

Dank voor je aardige bericht, wees voorzichtig met je velletje. Dat van het strandje klinkt me super in de oren, ga jij of je man foto’s plaatsen?
Afijn, het garen is dit (sorry, gekopieerd en geplakt van een eerder antwoord): The yarn is a combination of Punto color and Punto fancy color of Schachenmayr (both a mix of 55% cotton and 45% polyacrylic) and unfortunately not in production anymore.
Ik heb het garen een paar jaar geleden en voor een deel een paar weken geleden gekocht bij hobbydoos. Er zijn nog een paar bollen te koop, zie hier: http://www.hobbydoos.nl/winkel/producten/punto-color-81-pastel.asp
Misschien kun je op eBay nog wat op de kop tikken? 😉

Daar was ik dus echt nooit opgekomen. Jij mag het dan wel geen haute couture vinden, ik zou er zo een winkel mee uitrennen. De kleuren zijn echt ultiemey zomerkleurtjes.
Geloof het of niet, ik ben zowaar verbrand net in de zon. Ik dacht even een granny te haken in het zonnetje. Als de zon hier brandt, dan doet ie het ook goed.
Vanavond lekker pcknicken op het strand. We hebben een strandje ontdekt waar allerlei antieke flesjes en apothekerspotjes in het slik zitten. Een luilekkerland voor beachcombers.
