i promised you the how to for the edge of the festive blanket, well here it is.
.
first row
- start in a 1 ch space in a corner of your blanket
- attach yarn with a sc, 2 ch, 1 sc in same space, 2 ch, 1 sc in the middle of the 4 dc, 2 ch, 1 sc between this group of 4 dc en next group of 3 dc (see photo’s)
- (2 ch, 1 sc between two groups of 3 dc) repeat until the next group of 4 dc and the first group of 4 dc of the next square (see photo’s)
- 2 ch, 1 sc in the middle of the 4 dc, 2 ch, draw up a loop in the 1 ch space, draw up a loop in the next 1 ch space (3 loops on hook), yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook
- 2 ch, 1 sc in middle of 4 dc group, 2 ch, 1 sc in space between this 4 dc group and next 3 dc group
- next corner of your blanket: 2 ch, 1 sc in the middle of the 4 dc, 2 ch, 1 sc between this group of 4 dc en next group of 3 dc.
- continue this pattern all around your blanket
- last corner of your blanket: 2 ch, 1 sc in the middle of the 4 dc, 2 ch, ss to first sc.
second row
- attach yarn to any 2 ch space with a sc
- 2 ch, 2 h dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in same space (1 drop made)
- *2 sc in next 2 ch space
- 1 sc, 2 ch, 2 h dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc all in next space*
- repeat between * * until last corner of your blanket end with ss to first sc ***
*** in my blanket i had to adjust the number of drops to get the same look in all four corner. i did it like this: 1 drop in the last 2 spaces at the end of one side of the blanket, 1 drop in the corner and 1 drop in de first space of the next side of the blanket, then 2 sc in the next space, continue with the pattern.
it was a bit difficult for me to write down this pattern clearly, so i hope you can make sense of it. if not, please let me know.
