crochet blanket in beige and pink

hello, nice to see you again!

my blanket of beige and pink yarn is finished!
it is a small blanket that is actually better suited for decoration because it is somewhat transparent.

the nice soft yarn which is a little bit fluffy is phildar charly in the color lin – a dark beige/jute shade – and the blocks are a variation on a vintage round coaster. i have crocheted the first four rows of the pattern and have then made a square of it.

the somewhat lighter beige is phildar impact 3.5, also in the color lin and the pink is phildar impact 3.5 in the color aubepine. i have worked with crochet hook size 4.5 mm.

because i sewed the squares together there are no bulky edges or ridges.

  • for the pink parts on both short sides of the blanket i used the stitch pattern for a crochet summer sweater, a free charted pattern by gosyo. this is the link to my pin.
  • for more info about and the link to the vintage pattern of the christmas coaster see here, you just have to scroll down that page a little.

  10. Hello Elisabeth! That is so beautiful! I love it.

  11. I am wondering how did you sew them together –by hand or machine? Thank you so much for sharing.

  12. That blanket is beautiful – I love the colour combination that you’ve used.

  13. What a beautiful blanket! I love the colours. It cries out to be snuggled into!
I used Phildar quite a few years ago, their patterns and yarns were really exciting and lovely to work with, but I never seem to see them any more. Did you choose Phildar specifically for this project or are you just a fan? I’d love to know.

    • Thank you!
I am not a fan of Phildar but I really like some of their yarns, for example Phil Coton 3 (beautiful colors!) and Charly. My favorite is Phildar Cabotine.
      Have a nice day!

  14. Hello Elisabeth,
